Kale and White Bean Soup Recipe | Cooking | How To | Martha Stewart Recipes. This recipe was awesome. I was afraid of it being bland so I added some garlic to the onion, used 4 cups of chicken broth and 2 cups of water. I also added some red pepper flakes, a bay leaf and some fresh thyme and rosemary. With all that it was super flavorful. We also used a bit more kale than called for so it was super packed with delicious healthy kale :) this is a good summer time soup.

Kale Soup: Cut or tear 1 lb kale in 1/2" strips. Med pan brown 1 onion in 1 TBSP EVOO til softened- 5 min. Add 1 can cannellini beans, lightly mash with fork. Add 4 cups water & 2 cup chix, bring to boil. Stir in kale, 1 can beans, 1 tsp salt, & 1/4 tsp pepper. Partially cover, reduce heat, and simmer til kale is tender, about 20 min. Toast bread. Ladle soup into bowls, top with toast, & drizzle with 1 TBSP EVOO. Sprinkle with Parmesan. gm

Let it boil until sugar dissolves, about 3 minutes. Add strawberries and orange zest and let the mixture boil for 8 to 10 minutes. Puree and place in the refrigerator to chill. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
