This would be a really fun way to extend a lesson about season. Students could grow a plant and see its lifecycle. For homework or an in class writing assignment students could make a similar model to demonstrate their understanding of plant life cycles.

Dr. Seuss' birthday is is this Wednesday, March 2nd. In honor of the late, great Theodor Seuss Geisel, I will be going a little Seuss crazy this week! First up is my very favorite Seuss website, Seussville. This website has great resources for teachers, and super fun Seuss themed games for kids. Jessica Meacham has some fabulous Dr. Seuss activities here, and Room Mom 101 has tons of ideas here. Last but not least, What the Teacher Wants has an entire, super cute unit that you can download! I love all of these fabulous Seuss ideas!
