The Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF) is collaborating with Asian DREAM Act-eligible students (DREAMers) in New York and New Jersey to launch a youth group that will serve as a safe space for Asian youth to share their struggles and find a voice amid the culture of silence.

It’s almost that time again. Where the shadows run long over the hills of Echo and Elysian Parks. Cholos and families. Where the echoes of Fernando Valenzuela fill my consciousness like al pastor. Where the hood of your car acts as a table at Tommy’s. Where it really feels like Los Angeles. Vin Scully and Dodger Dogs in your tummy. Ahhh, spring.

Here in LA a lot of people have been talking, writing, reminiscing on the riots of ’92. What about the kids of ’12? Who gives a fuck about how it was. Give a fucking fuck about how it is. The kids today don’t need the adults worrying about shit that has nothing to do with them now. Hey adults, focus on what is burning down now. I was there in ’92 and I’m here now. “Look how far we’ve gone” mentality is for the fucking birds. Feed the kids and be selfish in your selflessness.

What It's Like to be a Dog Toy by Beep Show. Thanks to twitter.com/... and, oddly enough, icelandair.com who both helped on this quick little piece. Music is "Dirty Paws" by Of Monsters and Men rd.io/x/QFJ-PlUnZA which seemed appropriate. Slow motion was done with Twixtor in AE CS5. Shot on a GoPro Hero. Black box on the dog's collar is a remote unit used to vibrate if she swims out too far under the GG.

The city depicted in “Drive” is one that some viewers will find completely alien; others will regard it as hauntingly familiar.
