The human brain hasn't changed since last year. So why are there always articles about the latest L and D trends?
Start with words and numbers. All good stories start with facts and figures. But words and numbers on their own aren't usually very interesting.
Look for people, places, and things. Sort through information for people, places, and things and their interactions with each other. This is what makes a story interesting.
Give them the bad news first. All interesting stories start with the bad news. They present a challenging situation that the good guys need to overcome. In business, you can explain the interaction between people, places and things to show what will happen if we don't change. Usually it's bad. Then you can use the same people, places, and things to explain what the alternative is and how good it will be. Just like your favourite movie, book, or TV show.
