Next winter, if your area is below 32°, go outside and blow "ice bubbles" The kids will never forget it!! That is something I have never tired. On my list for winter.

      GONNA try this

For icy steps and sidewalks in freezing temperatures, mix 1 teaspoon of Dawn dishwashing liquid, 1 tablespoon of rubbing alcohol, and 1/2 gallon hot/warm water and pour over walkways. They won’t refreeze. No more salt eating at the concrete in your sidewalks

Somewhat worked in Boston, but in addition, had to use multiple gallons of very hot sink water.

I used this in VA the week we had nothing but below freezing temps. It looked bad when I first use the hot water, dawn and vinegar but once dried it work. No refreezing.

      I meant alcohol not vinegar.

Didn't work for me, just refroze and now it's worse.

Saving this idea for the Cold Days ahead! Hate scraping off ice! Ice Proofing the Car Windows with 2/3 Vinegar 1/3 water! Just spray on windows and ice will melt away! Totally making a bottle of this for this winter!
