When serving a crowd, cut a circle in the center (place a small bowl on the cake and trace around it). Then cut the outer ring into slices. You'll have nice square pieces that fit on a plate, instead of long wedges that drop off the edge. You can cut the small round middle into pieces too!

When you paint a room, put some extra paint in a jar* and keep it handy for quick touch-ups. pinner said *I did this Aug. 2011 - don't use a baby food jar - use a peanut butter jar that has a PLASTIC lid or it will rust - that was a tip from my painter - it's all stored in a cabinet in the house - just take it out and shake well and use a q-tip for quick touch ups. This has got to be one of the best things I've ever pinned!!!!

Wedding-day white teeth! My dentist actually told me about this. Use a little toothpaste, mix in one teaspoon baking soda plus one teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide, half a teaspoon water. Thoroughly mix then brush your teeth for two minutes. Remember to do it once a week until you have reached the results you want. Once your teeth are good and white, limit yourself to using the whitening treatment once every month or two.

Listerine as Mosquito Spray: Pinner says: Mosquito Spray...I was at a deck party awhile back, and the bugs were having a ball biting everyone. A man at the party sprayed the lawn and deck floor with Listerine, and the little demons disappeared. The next year I filled a 4-ounce spray bottle and used it around my seat whenever I saw mosquitoes. And voila! That worked as well...worth a try...
