Something to try...Root veggies like carrots and beets will stay fresh all winter and even grow sweeter in this storage bin. Just fill with layers of damp sand, alternating with layers of carrots or beets, and put in a cool, dark place. Potatoes, turnips and squash can go right in the bin without sand. -- Seems easy enough to DIY.

Italian Ice Hybrid Tomato ripen from green to ivory white

Pumpkin, Musquee de Provence Favorite pumpkin of chefs. A beautiful heirloom from the South of France with large 20 pound flattened fruits that are heavily ribbed. Green when immature, they turn a lovely deep brown when fully ripe. The deep orange flesh is a particular favorite of chefs for its fine flavor. Harvest in about 100-110 days.
