This couch: light to carry, to put aside at weddings, easy to clean under, nobody loses stuff, and it has that voluptuous back. I could make, and upholster, this couch, given someone to jigsaw the back for me. Make two for the living room, and make sure they fit along the back wall for weddings. We don't need floppy sofas; we want seats, with high arms for reclining guests.

FARMHOUSE – INTERIOR – note how the doors, windows, and trim were painted in the colonial era, while the walls remained in a plaster color. It seems reverse in modern times.
