A Night Under the Stars

Hop in your car and stay in it for the rest of the night while visiting two 50's-esque establishments. First, go out to Sonic to get dinner served through your window by a carhop. Chow down, then head just merely five miles away to Bengie's Drive-in theater to pay less than 10 dollars to watch a triple feature of brand new movies while tuned in through your radio.

The Sonic just down the road from Bengie's makes for a nice place to grab food, like a chili dog, some tots, and a shake, before the movies.

Or maybe you do want to wear a button down plaid shirt, because well a black-tie affair really isn't a good metaphor for a drive-in movie theater. So instead of going retro with that classic car, set up camp in the back of a pickup to literally watch movies under the stars.

Kids got to ride in the back of the pickup truck as a special treat--ha ha. Somehow we lived.

Bengie's Drive-In movie theater is the biggest in the US and opened in 1956, according to it's website. It plays three new movies for a triple feature every Friday and Saturday night for only $9 per person.
