Fiery sunrise light erupts through a break in the clouds over the peaks of Glacier, Montana. Woke up that morning around 4 am and started driving on the Going-to-the-Sun Road. (the only road that crosses Glacier National Park, going over the Continental Divide at Logan Pass) The two lane Going-to-the-Sun Road is quite narrow and winding, especially west of Logan Pass. At the end of our first day in Glacier National Park, my friend and I drove back to our hotel in the Many Glacier area. Though it had been a long day, I wouldn't have missed this shot for anything. It is one of the most common photos of the park, but there's a reason for that. As I took this photo, my friend busied himself taking pictures of a caterpillar. The mountain is called the garden wall as viewed from Logan Pass in Glacier National Park. The snow is still melting up here thus the many high altitude small streams are flowing. Sadly we left Glacier this morning but thoroughly enjoyed this magnificent park. better view
