I got this idea from a fellow elementary music teacher in my district. Cut pool noodles into 4 and use as rhythm sticks for the little ones. It's safe and not nearly as loud! I just got finished cutting up this set (super fast and easy with a serrated knife) from noodles I bought online. Can't wait to try them!

FREE! This is a 1-page document that encourages students to have fun with geometry. It could be used as a fun introductory activity or as a geometry station. An example question is "If you like a freshly baked pizza better than a juicy hamburger, then draw a pentagon and triangulate two different ways. But if you would like a hamburger more than a pizza, then draw a hexagon and triangulate it two times."

FREE! This is a 1-page study guide for basic geometry. The top part contains 16 terms and definitions related to geometry. Some of the terms include congruent, polygon, triangulate, straight angle, and more. The bottom portion asks students to do things like the following: Draw rectangle ABCD. Make side AB= 3 cm. Make side BC= 6 cm. Remember to label your polygon. Do you think everyone will draw the same rectangle? Why or why not?
