Common Core for Parents... great for Curriculum Night or Conference Night. Great also for homeschooling parents to review for possible inclusion in their children's lessons. I think it would surprise many people how very much these ideas are already included in the homeschooling experience.
Vocabulary Die: use as a game in the classroom to go over vocabulary words. The sides say: act it out, define it, synonym or antonym, draw it, use it in a sentence, and your choice. Great way for kids to get creative!
Lesson 9 In truth, you can't teach children to behave better by making them feel worse. So, be a part of the ‘Construction Team’ rather than the ‘Wrecking Crew’—especially at home with those most dear to you! Lead with love, kindness, and by example, building them up rather than tearing them down. Remember that we are always teaching our kids and they become what we are—so be a positive role model for them (in both word and deed)! PASS IT ON.
Keep a copy of when students master the standards, check it off so you can easily see who has mastered the standards. -- I can make my own, but this is good inspiration. Keep a checklist with student names for the entire class, and use marzano scales for the individual students.
