DIY Paper Climber. These cute little toys work much like the wooden climbers, but are SO easy for kids to create themselves. They are so simple to make and the kids had fun learning how to make them climb and then racing with them. This is a fun toy to make when talking about friction.

How to draw a monster...

After Reading Glad Monster, Sad Monster by Anne Miranda and Ed Emberley, the first grade created these monster, mask collages reflecting their mood. The little monsters reviewed shape, cutting, and gluing, learned about tints and shades, and discovered how to use a compass. They will use these for their Monsterade Ball. Fantastic Job First Grade!!!
