Rwanda Small Lidded Basket Black Natural
This small black and natural lidded basket is handmade in Rwanda from smooth sisal wrapped around coiled grass. It is sturdy and durable with a snug lid adorned with a sisal tassel. It is about 5" in diameter at the top, tapering to 3" at the bottom, and is about 3.5" deep. Because it is handmade from natural materials, there will be slight variations in size, shape, pattern, and color from basket to basket.
African Zulu Telephone Wire Basket Large Deep Bowl #22
This beautiful Zulu telephone wire basket combines traditional skills with modern materials. Serving equally well as a counter top bowl or as an art piece, it is strong and durable. It is handmade from plastic coated telephone wires woven into a zigzag swirl pattern in turquoise, seafoam, emerald, dusty blue, and copper. It is approximately 3.75" deep by 7.5" in diameter, with rigid walls, and can be hand washed with warm, soapy water.
African Bolga Basket Shopping Tote #1
This fair trade shopping tote is striking and durable. It has a round bottom with an ark-shaped top, and two round, upright goat skin handles. This beautiful handwoven Bolga basket is approximately 17" end to end, 10" wide, and 11" deep in the middle/13" deep on the ends (not including the handles). It is often used as a shopping tote or for storing newspapers, magazines, yarn, and other household items.
