You could have stopped, but you chose to go on. I want this because depression are things that some people do and have gone through but they chose to live on despite that fact that they did have gone through tough times
The Semicolon Project is a movement to stop suicide and provide support for people who are depressed or feel alone. A Semicolon represents a sentence the author could have ended, but chose not to. That author is you and the sentence is your life. On April 15th, show support for the fight against suicide by drawing a semi-colon on your hand or wrist. Not many people know about this movement yet, but those who do who might be suffering will know you care.
Ive never really thought too much about getting a tattoo, but if I did decide to get one, I think Id get a tattoo of this or something symbolically similar. I love the idea of this representing fighting through mental illness. Its so fitting for me.
"A semicolon is where the author has the choice to end the sentence with a full stop, but decides to continue the story - my story isn't over yet." The goal of the project is to restore hope and confidence in people who are troubled by addiction, depression, self-harm, and suicide.
