Fish Hoek Cape Peninsula

The beautiful family beach is also one of the best spots to view the Southern Right Whales when they are in the bay to calf between July and November. September is prime whale spotting month and a great time to visit Fish Hoek if combined with the Simon’s Town Penguin Festival in mid September. There is a busy main street with market stalls, a meandering path along the coastline, a fascinating museum that has information on the 12 000 year-old Fish Hoek man found at Peers Cave.
