Life size Lincoln Logs made out of pool noodles~ 15 pool noodles from the dollar store, cut in half, cut notches out easily, with scissors = hours and hours of fun playtime! These were my favorite toy as a kid, love the life size!
This would be a fun idea for kids and a great use for all those toilet paper rolls I can't throw away! Chopsticks or tweezers for fine motor skills, used to pick up and drop pom-poms into color matched toilet paper rolls.
Rain Bottle ~ fill a dry empty bottle with a box of toothpicks. Add rice (uncooked) to the bottle leaving an empty space of about 1 inches at the top. Seal the lid. As you gently turn the bottle, the rice falls through the toothpicks, sounding like rain.
Will make & start teaching her how to use it. Writing center word strips, this is such a fabulous idea! No more, "Teacher, how do you spell." all afternoon. A little bit of a crutch, so they would have to eventually be weened off.
