Amber is one of the special things of Latvia. It is also called the Solar Stone or Baltic gold, for the world's total amount of amber (about 80%) is cherished by the Baltic Sea. Amber has several color and transparency variations – from white to black, from completely transparent to turbid, but the most common are translucent yellow stones.
