Ray Morimura was born in Tokyo in 1948. He studied at the Tokyo Gakugei University, where he developed a graphic, geometric style. He moved on to create exceptional woodblock prints- bold in their colouring and beautifully stylised. He currently works as an art teacher at Tokyo Zokei University and Nihon Kogakuin school.
