Congratulations, The Ancient Forests Foundation has selected Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge as one of our 2013 finalists and acknowledged your business as a recommended ecolodge in this year's award program. All of our finalists were excellent choices for their respective eco-travel destinations.
Enjoy gorgeous South Pacific Ocean views and the verdant Costa Rica rainforest surrounding at Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge. Plan your Costa Rica destination wedding or vow renewals. Thriving ecosystems celebrate life’s exuberance at the Jungle Style.
Starting out from the lodge with your naturalist guide you journey into Corcovado National Park. The cool morning hours offer a good opportunity to spot wildlife and to observe some of the incredible variety of birds that abound in the park.
Along the trail your guide will have a chance to tell you some of the fascinating stories about life in the rainforest and point many things out to you. Later, coming down through the forest you will find a river and then discover an incredible waterfall. Now is your chance to cool off in one of the shaded pools of the rushing river. Afterwards, you wind your way down the river until reaching the Park Station at San Pedrillo.
Corcovado is the last remaining Pacific lowland rainforest of sustainable size in Central America and has been called “the most biologically intense place on earth” by no less an authority than the National Geographic Society. Here among Costa Rica’s largest trees can be found Central America’s densest populations of tapir, jaguar and scarlet macaws.
The 'Organic Design' of the rooms mixes the vibrant, earthy colors and textures of the jungle with contemporary sophistication. Stylish, open-air showers are designed to give you the unique and refreshing experience of being at one with nature.
Set against the backdrop of the jungle, our largest bungalows are divided into two interconnecting junior suites making them ideal for family groups or friends. Each of the suites features a bedroom containing a queen bed and single bed (both with mosquito nets).
Follow the walkways and you will find our deluxe bungalows, each tucked away in its own private garden and designed with your comfort in mind. These larger bungalows offer a queen bed plus either two or three additional beds (all with mosquito nets), perfect for accommodating families or groups of friends.
Our honeymoon suites are extra-private, hidden away in the lush tropical greenery of the beautiful Casa Corcovado gardens. Each offers laid-back comfort and style in harmony with the natural surroundings. The suites feature a queen bed with mosquito net, cooled by an overhead ceiling fan. Each has cushioned benches, a relaxing sitting area, and a large, tiled bathroom.
The bar is surrounded by virgin rainforest and fruit trees, which attract birds, monkeys and other animals. It’s the perfect place for wildlife-spotting, and for a drink, of course. Non-alcoholic fruit drinks and canned beverages are always available.
The larger of Casa Corcovado’s two pools, el Solar, is located near the bar and the manager’s office. The shallow end is separated from the deep end, providing a safe area for young swimmers. There are loungers, and chairs and tables with umbrellas, potted palms and bougainvillea on the flagstone surrounds.
Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge is the closest accommodation to Corcovado National Park, the crown jewel of Costa Rica's extraordinary, world-renowned national park system. Located on the Osa Peninsula, on the south-western Pacific coast of Costa Rica, Corcovado is the last remaining large and sustainable lowland rainforest in Central America.
Casa Corcovado is a leading example of responsible tourism. The lodge has been designed and constructed in a manner that minimizes impact on the environment, and prides itself on adhering to green and sustainable principles in every aspect of the day-to-day operations.
The tranquil hilltop setting provides awe-inspiring views and both ocean and rainforest breezes. The bungalow accommodation is spaced throughout the garden for maximum peace and privacy. The 'Organic Design' of the rooms mixes the vibrant, earthy colors and textures of the jungle with contemporary sophistication. Stylish, open-air showers are designed to give you the unique and refreshing experience of being at one with nature.
