John Atkinson Grimshaw, Lovers in a Wood, 1873 Now if he had painted a werewolf behind a tree, that would have been awesome.
John Atkinson Grimshaw, Lovers in a Wood, 1873. Incredible detailing. If only I had the skill to put my appreciation for detail in art into my actual paintings. You rock JAG.
John Atkinson Grimshaw, Lovers in a Wood, 1873. Pinner said: In my view this painting by Grimshaw shows a romantic stroll of two lovers one moonlight night. The couple being caught with a beautiful rim light and the path masterfully highlighted by the setting moon leading through the wood. You cannot help in letting you imagine romanticise over the conversation between them.
John Atkinson Grimshaw, Lovers in a Wood, 1873. Love this dark foggy forest painting.
