Yes, this is the same sea turtle! Barnacle was rescued by a lifeguard at end of June after being spotted off the Avalon Pier. A rope attached to a plastic bottle was wrapped around his body, making it impossible for him to eat normally. Barnacle got cleaned up (the green plants on his shell were actually fed to Augie, one of our green sea turtles!) and he is slowly gaining weight during his stay at the Aquarium.
