Hey, it’s better than nothing, so stop beating yourself up about missing the gym and do this now! This won’t burn 100 calories. It’s far more likely to burn between 18-22 calories, depending on your body’s overall muscle mass. Isn’t it true that it may only burn 18 - 22 cals while performing the exercise but throughout the day these particular ( strength training) exercises will burn more then the original 18-22 cals throughout the day? I’m sorry, but I don’t completely understand what you’re asking. Your body burns more calories while maintaining muscle than it does while maintaining fat. This means that if you increase your muscle mass, you will expend more energy throughout your typical day, without engaging in any additional exercise. So if you frequently engage in strength training exercises and gain additional muscle mass? Yes, your body will be burning more calories than it previously did. But that is not a reflection of these particular exercises - That is a reflection of your body’s composition. It does not mean that this short list will inherently require more energy. This is important. And this is why I delete any questions I get of How many calories does this workout burn?" I cant tell you that. Read the post the-exercist linked to for more information. And please, for the love of all you hold dear, stop asking fitblrs how many calories youre burning. We cant tell you.

11-Week Bikini Boot Camp Challenge! Alright, so here’s the deal. Summer will soon be upon us. Actually, the weather across most of the U.S. is probably telling most of you that it’s already here. But the truth is, it’s only March, which means you still have time to get into beach-ready shape and sculpt your best bikini body! And, you can do it with me! ;) Fit Sugar recently shared this epic list of 11 boot camp style workouts, all aimed at helping you get ready for bikini season. My goal is to try them all, and I want you to do it with me! Starting today, every Saturday up until June 2nd (11 Saturdays from now) I’ll be completing a new Bikini Boot Camp Workout from the list and posting it here to help remind you to get your bikini bottom in tip top shape! (P.S. So I’ve come up with Lazy Girl Workouts. This one is called: Brush my Teeth Workout (Takes 2 minutes, the time you should be taking for brushing your teeth)…and yes I brush my teeth while doing this. 1. Toe Raises – Stand with your feet shoulder width apart, raise up to a high releve and then back down. I do this 20 times.
