A fun and quick read.

PM PDT by Mia Galuppo Cate Blanchett is starring in the adaptation of Maria Semple’s bestselling novel. The adaptation of Maria Semple’s bestselling novel Where’d You Go, Bernadette? has gotten a Mother’s Day 2018 release date. Cate Blanchett is.

The story centers around Lila, the wife of a well know restaurant critic and the difficulties she faces because of her husband’s job. It seemed to me like the book was more about motherhood and it’s struggles, and less about Lila and her husband. The plot is not really developed, and nothing surprising ever happens. I'm sorry to say it was not my cup of tea. I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The Picnic is a fun little illustrated cookbook. It is full of cute ideas for picnics and even parties. I made the smoked salmon tartare on cucumber rounds and the kale, sweet potato, and goat cheese hand pies. They were both big hits. #sp

Jakob is a hardworking and humble kitchen hand. When his grandmother dies in an unexpected accident, he suddenly finds himself alone in the world. Jakob is given the chance to travel the world in search of exotic spices. He travels from England, to Italy, to Turkey, & to France. This historical fiction book showcases the ingredients and feasts of the 16th century across countries and cultures. Loved it! #sp

Jakob became a kitchen boy to a duke. His grandmother, who also worked in this kitchen, would tell him about far-away places filled with won.

A delightful, and touching book sprinkled with recipes. I highly recommend it. #sp
