Apparently there is a difference in brands of angel food cake mix. Do NOT make it with the brands that have two packets that have to be mixed together. Turned out disgusting!

I call this 1-2-3 cake so that I can remember the ingredients. Also called 3-2-1 cake! Mix 1 box of Angel Food cake mix with one boxe of cake mix. I've tried red velvet, German chocolate, lemon, spice and even bannana. To make, use 3 tablespoons of cake mix, 2 T water, cook for 1 minute in microwave. I'll cook them in a small styrofoam cup at the office & top with whipped cream! Love them...V

Just read this post. The cake sounds delicious and I will try it and add some coconut. Too bad the Rosa lady is so grouchy. Maybe if she tried some simple things, she would be happier.

Charlene, I had that same experience. It dropped right down and looks like "brownies". But I did spray the pan with PAM. Now I read greasing the pan is a no-no . . .

I made this cake the other day with pineapple and I agree with Charlene Klatt about sinking in the middle. It was still delicious and didn't last very long at all. I want to make a blueberry one, soon.

Box of Angel Food cake mix with a can of Blueberry pie filling. No water. Baked at 375 for 16 minutes. Refrigerate remaining batter between batches. I mixed about 3 tablespoon fulls of the canned filling with a tub of Vanilla frosting.

We tried strawberry pie filling because that's what we had on hand. It did not do well the middle never got done. I wonder if we dropped the oven temp to 325 for 40 min if that would work. What was done was delicious!
