VISIT SOCRATES SCULPTURE PARK What was formerly a landfill and illegal dumpsite was transformed into a place to view sculptures and installations starting in 1986. Located in Long Island City, the Socrates Sculpture Park features rotating exhibits and annual events, such as the kite flight and bike parade.
