World War II: Agreements Prior to War This is a 2-page document-analysis activity in which students read and answer questions related to several agreements made prior to World War II. In this activity students will be assigned either Winston Churchill or Neville Chamberlin. The y will write speeches in defense of, or against, appeasement prior to World War II. Students will analyze quotes from each Prime Minister and use that information to write their speeches. Students will share their speeches aloud and complete wrap-up review questions to assess their knowledge. Common Core Aligned!

This is a fun and interactive project to get your students to learn about the important leaders of World War II. Students will be assigned 3 out of 12 leaders of WWII and create trading cards with important information about their assigned leader. On the due date, the students trade their cards with their assigned group members. All students will end up with 12 leader cards. They can use the cards to study. A review game and quiz are included to check their knowledge about each leader. FUN!

World War II: Predicting German Foreign Policy 1933-1939  This is one of my favorite activities when teaching the causes of World War II. Students will pretend they are advisors to the German leaders prior to World War II. First, the teacher will review the goals of Nazi Germany in the 1930’s and then the students will be given different scenarios where they will have to guess what the best choice would be to keep in align with German goals.
