We loved the chicken!! Even John loved the chicken!! Of course I tweaked the recipe! I didn't have corn starch so I added extra flour. And for some flavor I put in about a tablespoon of brown sugar and 1 egg. Plus I fried them in peanut oil - Healthier and more flavorful!! The sauce... Eh, maybe I did something wrong, but it was disgusting!! So we just used la choy sweet and sour sauce.
I only repine recipes I've tried and LOVE, this dish was the favorite tonight. I made chow mein, and cauliflower 'fried rice', the others were amazing as well but the cornstarch makes this so tender it is like eating juicy tender dark meat. and SO SIMPLE! doubled the vinegar, and used apple cider vin instead of rice.. thats it!
