Remember having your foot measured at the shoe store? Did you know this was called a "Brannock Device"? Remember when shoe salesmen used to measure your foot and bring you each box of shoes you wanted to try on?
These are what I used when I taught school :) School register - after it was taken someone would be assigned the very important and much coveted job of delivering it to the head's office :)
when we moved into our house these things were in the guest tub and they had turned 2 cement .it took me 6 hours chipping at them with a spackle knife until my hands hurt, but i finally conquered them.
Bubble Gum Machine - My brother thought he'd make money off of us with his coin operated bubble gum bank just like this one. He didn't count on us figuring out Mom's button collection came in handy when we wanted a gum ball.
OK this is not a current favorite thing but when I was in college there was this Darimart near where I lived and they had a slush puppy machine and I used to drink them at least five times a week. I seem to remember that blue was my favorite.
