I ordered this to wrap a Lowe's gift card in (the recipient wanted a new stove). Was easy to cut out and assemble, and soooo cute :)

The Country Cook: Ground Beef Stroganoff

I made this last night. We both enjoyed it, but it was a little on the bland side. I like that it didn't use canned cream of something soup. But, it needed more spices. We had this with a very crisp and colorful salad and intensely flavored Italian style vinaigrette, to balance the bland richness of this dish.

Hubby made two of these in my almost useless kitchen cabinets. WOW...these organize a lot of cookie sheets, cutting boards and cooling racks! He did some wider ones for my baking pans. On top is just the right size for my cornbread pan and waffle iron. I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

And I still love it 37 weeks later. I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

Gingery Apple Crumb Pie recipe I made this with a homemade crust, and substituted Sugar Twin 'brown' for half the sugar. It. Was. DELICIOUS. The crumb topping is just so buttery. The fresh ginger adds that wonderful spicy taste.

I made these using honey, and they are delicious

The Snow child

I read this and enjoyed it very much.

I made two of these. Didn't have enough cherry pits, so I used lentils instead! They smell like peanuts when you warm them in the microwave! This pattern was a little small so I made the next one 25 percent bigger (using a copy machine) and I like it better. The small one was just too hard to make and turn the little legs and ears.

This was a book I'd heard lots of people talking about. It was an allegory or fantasy about heaven, about meeting God, and figuring out the meaning of loss and tragedy. I enjoyed the book, but I felt a little manipulated. Answers aren't easy or available and this was a fantasy.

Cherry Pie Bars. These tasted as good as they look! Better, even! You can also refrigerate them and reheat quite successfully.

I give this five stars!! Even the sugar free version is delicious! You do need to eat this recipe within 24 hours, or the crust will be soggy and the fruit will start drying out.

Back To My Roots: Easy Chocolate Pudding

I made this and doubled the recipe. Never made chocolate pudding without eggs before, but this was GREAT! Delicious, old-fashioned comforting cocoa flavor, without a lot of fuss. I used a wire whisk to stir this and the texture was smooth and creamy. Delish both warm and cold!

Old-Fashioned Tomato Gravy- This was delicious. I made a version using Rotel, too, and it was also delicious!

I made this using brown-sugar Sugar Twin (zero calories) and it was delicious. I mean it.

Honey Glazed Chicken and Bacon Bites. These were good. Very good. However...I might like a barbeque type glaze rather than the honey mustard. It was a little sweet for my taste.

peanut butter granola. I liked it, but it wasn't peanut butter-y enough for me!

stuffed bell peppers...definitely a keeper

Eggs in pepper rings! Love this idea!

These were very easy to make but I did saute the bell pepper rings several minutes before cracking in the eggs. My eggs came out of the ring too, but I kind of tucked them under around the edge.

Lemon Pull-apart bread

THIS WAS DELICIOUS. But really messy to eat.

peanut butter granola. Very mild peanut butter taste. Next time I will add more peanut butter, and maybe some peanuts too.

no bake energy bites. They are a little too sweet for me. Next time I will add about a half cup more oatmeal.

grow green onions in water. I tried this and one week later, they have grown a couple inches. It worked!!

They get old and soggy. Then start reeking of onion, after about a month. Not so good.

I changed the water weekly too.

Stacey is right, this only works for a while. Still, you CAN do it a couple times and basically get double or triple the amount of green onions you left the store with.

I discovered that planting the green onions in a little pot with dirt makes them last a lot longer than just growing them in water. They also don't get that nasty smell and you never have to change the water. I have cut them several times. I snip off the ends with scissors and so far they've lasted for weeks.
