Roll-an-Emotion Fluency Activity. I like this as an idea for writing and practicing "tone." Obviously, I'd have to come up with some better attitudes, but the idea of rolling the dice is really fun.

Lesson on empathy - students volunteer to choose a shoebox to open and put the shoes on from the box. A written scenario inside each box tells about the person who wears the shoes. Based on the information given, the student has to "put themselves in that person's shoes," identifying how that person might feel. The class then suggests ways we might show compassion to the person in the shoes.

Weather Fun Fact Cards - Great for Unit Extension Activity, Bulletin Boards and Games - One teacher said: “My kids are addicted to reading these facts cards every morning. If I forget to read one, they are sooo quick to remind me. And the parents are learning too! During conferences, I had many parents tell me how much they had learned from their children when we read the apple and pumpkin cards. Thanks!”

FREE DAILY DRAMA GAME ~Group Mirror~ In this game, kids learn to work cooperatively. Everyone in a circle. ONE person leaves the room, and a person in the circle is chosen to be “it.” He starts making slow movements with his arms/body. All players in the circle mirror him. The player who left the room is invited back in, and stands in the center while the group reflects the movement of the secret person in the circle. The center player has three guesses as to who is “it.”
