Fishing Gallery

This 1900’s Amesbury Dory rowboat is new to the Chatham Historical Society Collection for 2014. Originally the Dory would have been used for line fishing and lobstering. The Dory, owned by the late, Dave Morgan, was donated by his wife. Portrait of Leon Long circa 1930's. By Frederick Wight. Leon Long was a Chatham fisherman. He drowned, age 59 when his ship sank dragging for mussels off Monomoy in January 1947.
