Alexa Hampton renovates her New York City office
@archdigest In New York's landmark Pierre hotel, designer Alexa Hampton gives an apartment with aging 1960s decor a gracious update, "I painted the walls of the hallway a cool taupe color [Benjamin Moore HC-77, Alexandria Beige], which makes the white trim and classical architectural elements look very graphic. Art looks great on this color as well. It really has warmth and also looks good with cold colors, and there's no pink in it. Taupes that have pink in them make me shudder."
