Yummy - garlic Parmesan edamame. I think this could be a healthy Super Bowl treat
Garlic Parmesan Edamame. Review: Easy to make, and my edamame turned out looking just like the picture. I made it as a side to go with a fish entree, but I think it actually would work better as a snack, since it's more of a finger food and rather time-consuming to eat. I plan to try modifying this recipe with shelled edamame so that it can be eaten with a fork. 4 out of 5 stars. J.M.
garlic parmesan edamame. Verdict: Super simple, especially if you have one of those bags of veggies that steams in the microwave. Less than 10 minutes to a yummy side dish.

Frozen Banana Bites... Chocolate, peanut butter, bananas and coconut flakes. (My in laws love chocolate covered bananas, going to have to try this!)
Chocolate Covered Frozen Banana Bites Recipe (with my substitutions): FROZEN BANANA BITES What you'll need . . . 2 large organic bananas 1/4 to 1/3 cup organic chocolate chips 1/4 to 1/3 cup organic peanut butter Unsweetened organic coconut flakes
frozen chocolate peanut butter banana bites... http://www.neverhomema... FROZEN BANANA BITES What you'll need . . . 2 large bananas 1/4 to 1/3 cup vegan chocolate chips 1/4 to 1/3 cup natural peanut butter Unsweetened coconut flakes Method . . . Set out a large plate or bowl with a piece of parchment or wax paper on it. Cut up the bananas into good-sized chunks. Each banana should give you around 5 to 6 pieces. Heat the peanut butter and chocolate chips in the microwave on high for about a minute. Then stir until smooth. Dip the banana pieces in the chocolate-peanut butter mixture. Lay them out leaving some space between them on the parchment/wax paper. Then when you've "covered" them all, use the remaining mixture to spoon over the tops (for even more chocolate-y goodness). Then sprinkle the unsweetened coconut flakes on top. Transfer to the freezer for about an hour until hardened. You can enjoy them like this (but they really aren't frozen yet -- and when they're frozen, the banana tastes like vanilla ice cream) . . . I suggest then covering with some plastic wrap (or really you can do all of this in some kind of Rubbermaid container) and let freeze overnight.

DIY: kids would like making popsicle stick bracelets: boil in water for 15 minutes then place in cup to dry. Decorate with markers, buttons, glitter, or decoupage. CRAP it took days of soaking & trying to bend w/ out breaking the sticks. When I finally got them to bend & dry there were splinters! In the end all I did was waste craft sticks. :/
