A magnificent peacock choker with a detachable pendant from the house of A.Sirkar Jewellers.

Sraboni In Sydney when it's summer in winter I dreamt rain and peacocks dancing their plumage magic trees of mangoes and muchkunda flowers ----- together. Gathering them ---- my thoughts the chains that shackled my thoughts ---- doctor---artist---lover,

Pad-Pineapple Kanbala: A conventional kanbala gets a swinging arch of an envelope, bordered by a continuous series of matchsticks. Created entirely by hand in soft yellow 22K gold and given a rustic finish and polish, this dressy earring may well not push "Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen" off the charts but it certainly allowed us to put together lotuses, matchsticks and pineapples in a certain order that shaped up into an attractive, carefree kanbala. Wear it; have fun; and dance if you like.

Madhusree : Referencing our sixty-year-old tradition of Ma Lakshmi oleograph calendars, we created this unique pati-necklace on a special commission from a second-generation client from Chicago, Mrs.Madhu Mukherjee. You'll see the paisleys from the goddess's mukut on two sides of the halo which is replicated in radiating rows of gold balls, and an expressionistic lotus in the centre surrounded by a cable-knit ring. A strung seed-pearl border and two large pearl-drops complete the picture.

Stereotypical Kanbala and Banal Jhar-Jhumka There are some ornaments the designs of which are quite indefinable, yet they seem extremely effective and efficient, attractive even. They're either bland or over-decorated and appear unlikely to perform well as fine jewellery. These two handcrafted natural guinea-gold earrings fall into that category.
