"I typed up signs for the key words and definitions the students need to know for our matter unit. In the middle of the board, I displayed student work. The students used Froot Loops to visualize the differences between solids, liquids, and gasses.

I really liked this project when I found it. As teachers we know that some children do not test well and it is important to understand this. We need to give them a variety of options to show us they have gained some type of knowledge. With ELLs, this type of project is great because it provides a visual for them while learning. This would be a great activity when teaching parts of a plant in first grade. Students could also describe the life cycle of plants as well.
