Wild Color, Revised and Updated Edition: The Complete Guide to Making and Using Natural Dyes

"Certainly for artists of all stripes, the unknown, the idea or the form or the tale that has not arrived, is what must be found. It is the job of artists to open doors and invite in prophesies, the unknown, the unfamiliar; it;s where their work comes from, although its arrival signals the beginning of the long disciplined process of making it their own" - Rebecca Solnit, A Field Guide to Getting Lost

Excellent read on science and art!

Excellent!

I have just started reading Laetitia Makloufs book, Sweet Peas for Summer about how to create a garden in a year. The most amazing thing is that her starting point in the book is March. I mean how often does that happen!? Almost always with these sorts of things I find that I have either just missed the perfect time to plant, prune, do anything or it is months away.
