Slugs will eat cornmeal, even though it kills them. Put cornmeal in a jar turned on its side near the affected plants...!!! CORNMEAL IS A GREAT SIDE DISH TO WHATEVER IM GROWING! 10 out of 10 slugs agree!! I'm still looking for a real slug defense.
