Pancreatic Cancer Research - Lustgarten Foundation

    Uploaded by user

Pancreatic cancer is often labeled a silent disease because many times the signs and symptoms can go unnoticed until the cancer is in the advanced stage. Since its inception, The Lustgarten Foundation has contributed more than $75 million toward pancreatic cancer research, including studies focused on detecting the disease earlier so we can save lives.

The Lustgarten Foundation is America’s largest private foundation dedicated to funding pancreatic cancer research. Because of research funded by the Foundation, early detection tests are being developed, vaccines are being tested, more clinical trials are available for pancreatic cancer, and the genetic makeup of this cancer is better known now than ever before.

Please vote for my Mom! She was a great person and had a great sense of humor! Seen here, she is displaying her pride in the LSU Tigers. She passed away on July 15, 2010 from pancreatic cancer only 8 days after her tumor was diagnosed. I wear purple each and every day now to raise awareness.

My partner was diagnosed on 5/25/2010 with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. On July 3, 2010 I got this tattoo showing my support for pancreatic cancer awareness. People ask me about it and I have the opportunity to spread the word! Sadly, my partner lost her battle against this horrible cancer 10/28/10 but my tattoo lives on in her honor!!
