I truly recommend listening to this story on CD. Jodi Long (the reader) has a real talent when it comes to telling stories. She brings the story alive and pulls you in with her voice. This is a love story and although it is set long, long ago it's message transcends to present day. Highly recommended as is Sunflower and the Secret Fan, another story by Lisa See.
