LEGO Word Family Sorting ~ Sort words written on DUPLO LEGO bricks to form word families. Then encourage youngsters to read and write the word family lists. You could also do this with equivalent fractions/decimals/percents. make a tower of equivalents!

Put cups in abc order - great for a language arts center!  Could use vocab for each unit.

Use the cups as a visual way for child to work on alphabetical order or other language sequencing tasks. Write words on each cup, and stack them in alphabetical order. -just styrofoam cups and a marker

Word Wall & 3 Sentences

Could be a great morning work activity. Here is an activity I use with my grade class. Have your students practice writing 10 words that you have posted on the word wall in your class.

Great way for practicing targeted phonics skills.  Cards can be used over and over again! Perfect for centers.

Scrabble Recording Sheet With Tiles- Daily 5 Word Work; I'll use this as a warm-up. Just use Spanish characters & have students use Spanish words!  I could also put actual tiles on the   elmo projector or on each table. It would move a lot faster than a full game, and would encourage 100% participation.

Rdg: Building sight words on a cookie sheet- 5 free sample templates. Great for independent learning centers. (If you use a metal cookie sheet~you could/ should use magnetic letters. They will stay put!
