Jalapeño and Cilantro Margarita: This is a special garden cocktail from the Medlock Ames Tasting Room and Alexander Valley Bar. Jerry visited the area (again) while driving a Chevy Volt around California touring sustainable farms and food producers.
Gin-Campari Old-Fashioned: One strip of lemon zest 1 teaspoon Demerara simple syrup (see Note) 1 teaspoon Campari 3 dashes of grapefruit bitters Scant pinch of fine sea salt 2 ounces gin, preferably Knickerbocker or Beefeater 24
Sparkling Grapefruit Cocktail coarse sugar (or salt) cup grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed, from 1 grapefruit) cup lime juice (freshly squeezed, from limes) cup vodka (or clear tequila) 2 tbsps simple syrup cup club soda (divided)
Strawberry Basil Moscato Lemonade Recipe 6 oz Moscato 4 Strawberries 1 teaspoon sugar 1 sprig basil 1 ounce lemon juice Blend all ingredients, except wine, together. Strain into tall glass with ice. Pour over moscato.
Mango Jalapeno Margaritas: 2 ounces Grand Marnier 1 ounces jalapeño tequila 2 ounces lime juice 2 ounces mango simple syrup mango, peeled and chopped 2 jalapeño peppers, sliced salt for the rim lime wedges. I would call this a sweet heat Mararita.
