1) Kids need a minimum of 8 touches a day to feel connected to a parent. If they’re going through a challenging time, it’s a min. of 12 a day. Such as-fixing a collar, a pat on shoulder, a simple hug. 2) Each day children need one meaningful eye-to-eye conversation with a parent. 3) 9 minutes for greatest impact on a child: the first 3 minutes–right after they wake up the 3 minutes after they come home from school, and the last 3 minutes of the day, before they go to bed.

THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR! You do not get paid for chores because it's an expected part of being a family. Allowance is teaching children how to manage money. I have started this with the kids, the chore list doesn't get money but the commission chart does! There are different chores on each. AND she incorporates tithing and savings! Brilliant!
