Crockpot Pecan Pie Ingredients: 1 uncooked piecrust 3 eggs 1 cup sugar 2/3 cup dark Karo syrup 1 cup pecans, broken up 1/2 cup margarine, melted 1 teaspoon vanilla Directions: 1) Spray the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. 2) Place uncooked pie crust in the slow cooker and press up the edges about 1/2 inch up the sides. 3) In a medium-mixing bowl, stir the remaining ingredients until well mixed. Pour on top of the piecrust. 4) Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours.

Hot Buttered Soft Pretzel Recipe

Hot Buttered Soft Pretzels Ingredients: Dough 2 1/2 cups King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon sugar 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast 7/8 to 1 cup warm water* *Use the greater amount in the winter, the lesser amount in the summer, and somewhere in between in the spring and fall. Your goal is a soft dough. Topping 1 cup boiling water 2 tablespoons baking soda coarse, kosher or pretzel salt, optional 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted Instructions: 1) To make dough by hand, or with a mixer: Place all of the dough ingredients into a bowl, and beat until well-combined. Knead the dough, by hand or machine, for about 5 minutes, until it's soft, smooth, and quite slack. Flour the dough and place it in a bag, and allow it to rest for 30 minutes. 2) To make dough with a bread machine: Place all of the dough ingredients into the pan of your bread machine, program the machine for dough or manual, and press Start. Allow the dough to proceed through its kneading cycle (no need to let it rise), then cancel the machine, flour the dough, and give it a rest in a plastic bag, as instructed above. 3) To make dough with a food processor: Place the flour, salt, sugar and yeast in the work bowl of a food processor equipped with the steel blade. Process for 5 seconds. Add the water, and process for 7 to 10 seconds, until the dough starts to clear the sides of the bowl. Process a further 45 seconds. Place a handful of flour in a bowl, scoop the slack dough into the bowl, and shape the dough into a ball, coating it with the flour. Transfer the dough to a plastic bag, close the bag loosely, leaving room for the dough to expand, and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes. 4) While the dough is resting, prepare the topping: Combine the boiling water and baking soda, stirring until the soda is totally (or almost totally) dissolved. Set the mixture aside to cool to lukewarm (or cooler). 5) Preheat your oven to 475°F. Prepare a baking sheet by spraying it with vegetable oil spray, or lining it with parchment paper. 6) Transfer the dough to a lightly greased work surface, and divide it into eight equal pieces (about 70g, or 2 1/2 ounces, each). 7) Allow the pieces to rest, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Pour the baking soda/water into a 9" square pan. 8) Roll each piece of dough into a long, thin rope (about 28" to 30" long), and twist each rope into a pretzel. Working with 4 pretzels at a time, place them in the pan with the baking soda/water, spooning the water over their tops; leave them in the water for 2 minutes before placing them on the baking sheet. This baking soda "bath" will give the pretzels a nice, golden-brown color. 9) Transfer the pretzels to the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle them lightly with coarse, kosher, or pretzel salt, if desired. Allow them to rest, uncovered, for 10 minutes. 10) Bake the pretzels for 8 to 9 minutes, or until they're golden brown. 11) Remove the pretzels from the oven, and brush them thoroughly with the melted butter. Keep brushing the butter on until you've used it all up; it may seem like a lot, but that's what gives these pretzels their ethereal taste. Eat the pretzels warm, or reheat them in an oven or microwave. Yield: 8 large pretzels.

Oatmeal Chocolate Peanut Butter No-Bake Bars Oatmeal Chocolate Peanut Butter No-Bake Candy Bars *it is sorta like a chocolate oatmeal no bake cookie, but extra creamy and special. it almost reminds me of fudge, but with the added texture of the oats and occasional chewy sweetness of the dried cranberries--yum! **I doubled her recipe 1 cup peanut butter 2/3 cup honey 1/2 cup coconut oil (no substitutes, this is what gives its creamy texture and flavor) 2 cups oats (not instant) 1 1/4 cups mini chocolate chips 3/4 cup dried cranberries In a medium sized saucepan, melt together peanut butter, honey and coconut oil. Remove from heat and add oats, chocolate chips and dried cranberries. Stir until combined and chocolate chips are melted. Spread into a 9x13 pan. Refrigerate until hardened, about an hour. Here is Heavenly Homemaker's Homemade Chewy Granola Bars 1/2 cup peanut butter 1/3 cup honey 1/4 cup coconut oil (or another oil of your choice) 1 cup oats 1 cup TOTAL of any combination of: sesame seeds, coconut flakes, sunflower seeds, dried fruit, mini chocolate chips In a medium sized saucepan, melt together peanut butter, honey and coconut oil. Remove from heat and add one cup of oats. Choose your favorite combination of coconut flakes, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, dried fruit and mini chocolate chips, to equal a total of ONE CUP. (She just got out her one cup measuring cup and poured in the ingredients until the cup was full.) Pour in and stir well. Spread mixture into a 8x8 or 9 x 4 inch pan. Chill for 2 hours, then cut into bars. Wrap in plastic wrap for a quick grab and go snack! I can't wait to try it again. I tasted the mixture after adding the oats and before adding the last cup of my "combination" and it was peanut buttery goodness. I "messed" this recipe up by adding so many chocolate chips and not enough of the other fillers. They melted right away (even though I let the mixture cool quite awhile) and completely changed the peanut butter flavor to a rich and creamy chocolate-y flavor. Next time if I add any chocolate chips, it will be just a few and maybe sprinkled on top so they won't melt into the batter. I hope this post was not confusing, because I am so very excited about both recipes! I know I will be making the first one on a regular basis, and I'll let you know how I do when I re-try the chewy granola bar recipe.

Mix olive oil w/ garlic, herbs & seasonings in ovenproof casserole dish to fit all mushrms. Add mushrooms, mix well, coat mushrooms w/ flavored oil. Bake 30 to 40 mins/til cooked thru. Remove from heat, drizzle w/ balsamic vinegar.

Breakfast casserole in the crock pot! Cooks while you sleep! Sounds perfect for a Sunday morning and great for company! Ingredients: 1 bag 26 oz. frozen hash browns 12 eggs 1 cup milk 1 tablespoon ground mustard 1 16 oz. roll sausage maple, sage or regular sausage. Salt and pepper 16 oz. bag shredded cheddar cheese Directions: Spray crock pot and evenly spread hash browns at the bottom. Crack 12 eggs in a large bowl. Mix well (and slowly) using a whisk. Add the milk. Go ahead and sprinkle in the ground mustard. This might sound like a weird ingredient, but I've come to love (and use) this in most of my recipes. Add plenty of salt.... ...and lots of fresh pepper. Mix well and set aside. Cook the sausage on high heat, drain and set aside. Add sausage on top of hash browns. Is this enough cheese? Maybe? Probably. Throw the whole big bag in there. Mix it up well. Or good, depending on where you're from. Pour the egg mixture over everything in the crock pot. Using a wood spoon, even everything out so it's spread evenly. Turn the crock pot on low for 6-8 hours. Some fun variations of this recipe. Before cooking (during prep) you can add: chunks of sourdough bread diced chiles salsa diced green onions Serve hot with a glass of orange juice and a side of toast. —

This is NOT low carb, but for my family on Christmas morning. Slow Cooker Breakfast : 12 eggs, 32 oz bag of frozen o'brien style hash browns, defrosted and rinsed , 1 lb sausage, bacon or ham (or any combo you like), 1 med onion, diced, 1 bell pepper, diced (use whatever color you like best), 3/4 c 2% milk, 3/4 c sour cream, 1 tsp dry mustard, 1 tsp garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste, 2 c shredded cheddar cheese. Cooks 8 hours on low in a crock pot. Ready when they get up!

Crescent roll pecan pie bars - update nov 2012-- these were not that good. The timing on the cooking was off, the recipe didn't make enough to fit the pan it called for. Needed at least 1/4 c more pecans. it would work if you have a craving, but unless you are desperate, i suggest sticking with my Williams Sonoma recipe.
Crescent roll pecan pie bars: press 1 tube crescent rolls into greased 9x13 and bake 8 mins @ 350. Combine in bowl: 1/2c chopped pecans, 1/2c sugar, 1/2c corn syrup (light or dark), 1tbsp melted butter, 1/2tsp vanilla & 1 egg. Pour on top and bake another 18-22 mins. cool completely before cutting

You take 1/4 cup of pecans and put them in a small sauce pan with 2 tbsp of sugar and 2 tbsp of water. Stir to dissolve the sugar and bring to a boil. Immediately turn down the heat to a simmer for 5-7 minutes. You want them to be golden and coated.

Candied pecans go well with cheeses and fruit desserts You take 1/4 cup of pecans and put them in a small sauce pan with 2 tbsp of sugar and 2 tbsp of water. Stir to dissolve the sugar and bring to a boil. Immediately turn down the heat to a simmer for 5-7 minutes. You want them to be golden and coated.
