c.1820-30 Cotton Corset  Met     1999.216.5  The lacing on ONE side leads me to think it was NOT USED for nursing. Though it could be a good source of inspiration for you to use as nursing.  Looks like a later alteration, could have been intended for nursing, but then never fully completed due to no actually accomplishing breastfeeding. Also could have been for asymmetrical breasts (like in a case of breast cancer) especially if it was purchased and then altered.

Early 1900s  Met C.I.38.105.3  I think this is what was advertised as a combination corset and brassiere  The position of the front lacing COULD indicate it was intended for maternity.
