kid's play area, we have a play area in our back yard. It is soooo nice because we don't have to move toys when we want to mow! Good solution for under our tree where grass won't grow and it is muddy when it rains.
Rainbow Rice Garden for Play: This morning we made rainbow rice. I measured out the rice (4 cups) and put it in a Ziploc bag with about 2T of food coloring or liquid water colors (works great!) and 3 T of rubbing alcohol. The kids helped me mix the rice in the bags to spread the color. We put them on pans to dry in the sun. It all dried incredibly fast.

- good idea - keep the dogs out of the area, and don't have to worry about cleaning it up for the kids to play. - one day, when we have dogs, and a yard.....Outdoor Play area. I love this idea. I still have room in the backyard for the dogs to run around but the kids play area stays nice and tidy.
