Venture store in the Chicago area. Was started by one of the Target founders. I was never in one but I've heard they were very similar to Target. By the late 90's they were losing customers to Target, KMart, and Wal Mart. They officially closed their doors on April 27, 1998. Most of their stores were bought up by KMart, Kohls, and Shopko.

Isabel Bloom lived in Davenport, Iowa and trained at the Vogue School of Fashion and Design. She also attended the Chicago Art Institute and in the early 1930's attended Grant Wood's Stone City Art Colony in central Iowa. Today, the sculpting and design of the figurines rests in the talented hands of artist Donna Young. Donna has helped preserve the iconic style that survived Isabel's passing in 2001. Shops are available in Moline, Illinois and Davenport, Iowa.
