Behavior Management and Self Regulation - Take A Break

EMOTIONAL REGULATION: School Counseling - Counseling - teachers - Directions and printables to create a Take A Break station which encourages children to manage and regulate their own emotions and behaviors.

Do you have students using The Zones of Regulation® (Kuypers, 2011)? Or do you simply have students that sometimes need to take a break?

You can use this website to make your own Self Regulation Break Cards to give to a child as a visual cue when they need a reminder to regulate their emotions.

Circle of #influence This is a great tool to help learn to gauge size of #emotional responses. It works along with the problem scale. Rate size of problem then rate size of reaction or emotion.

Another terrific visual

The Speech House: Asperger Perfectionism (sigh)----should print out for my kids also

Based off of the Zones of Regulation Curriculum and the 1-5 ScaleThis product includes two different kinds of worksheets to help students process through their reactions to different problems. I usually laminate a copy of the thermometer so that students can keep a copy in their workbooks and use like a mini white board.

How BIG is my REACTION? 1-5 Scale

Good idea! Helps give a visual of what students need and the urgency of the problem!
