Use observations to describe patterns of what plants and animals (including humans) need to survive. This will be a clear example of what plants vs animals need to survive that also provides the students with visuals.
Tops and Bottoms book f/u chart. Perfect for plants unit! I would add a picture next to each word for pre-k students. Making this an interactive chart using velcro would be a great hands on activity for this age group as well.
ANOTHER GAME TO PLAY WITH THE HERD- Ball Toss. Would also make a great "rainy day" activity. You could even find tubs or buckets of varying sizes (like nesting bins) for more of a challenge for the older kids (Think Skee-ball).
