Wild Woman, Crazy Crone - Photography

I decided to upload my own photography and other photos I like into a separate album from my artwork to keep both passions of my own in their own space. I noticed recently that my photography arises from my love of nature, something I embraced as a child, forgot about as I got older, but which I have re-connected with in my Elder years.

Snow on the Bes Parmak mountain range, Kyrenia, North Cyprus. Snow falls occasionally in winter but seldom lasts long, as it melts as soon as the sun is on it. This year it unusually lasted a couple of days, but no snow on the coast itself.

Snow on Taurus Mountains, Turkey. Most times you can't see Turkey from North Cyprus, but all of a sudden it will suddenly appear on the horizon. It generally means that the weather in Cyprus will take a turn for the worse, something we can confirm since we lived here.

Courtyard at Salamis ruins, close to Famagusta, north Cyprus, with hypercaust (Roman underfloor heating). Salamis is an ancient roman settlement and became the capital of Cyprus as far back as 1100 BC. The ancient site covers an area of one square mile extending along the sea shore. Salamis was destroyed by a massive earthquake. It is quite extraordinary to walk here in the steps of ancient Romans.
